Abrash

The term 'abrash' refers to the subtle color variations frequently found in handwoven textiles. Similarly, I have used old or hand cut paintbrushes in order to explore subtle striations of color within the broader brushstrokes in these works. My lifelong interest in fiber arts has also led to international research and teaching about global textile traditions.
